Birthday cupcakes and teas

For my birthday, I asked a work friend, who has a side business in baked goods, to custom make for me chocolate earl grey with lavender buttercream icing cupcakes.

 

 

The cupcakes looked and tasted delicious!

 

 

DavidsTea's Lavender Buttercream rooibos was the perfect accompaniment to the chocolate earl grey lavender cupcakes.

First Teas in 2026

I hope your 2026 has been off to a great start!

 

I kicked off the new year with a cup of Tazo Joy tea. Thank you, Kitty, for sharing this lovely fruity blend of black tea, green tea, and oolong with me! 

 

The first NEW tea that I drank in 2026 was Genuine Tea's Organic Hojicha (roasted green tea) Microground. It made a delicious tea latte!

A few weeks ago, I acquired a lovely bone china teacup from my local Buy Nothing Group.

My favourite new ornament is this this beautiful glass teapot ornament from Canadian Tire. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the teapot is clear glass and filled with gold glitter.
